Becoming a Registered Charity
Regardless of structure, if you intend to register as a charity you must meet the Charity Commission rules around charitable purposes and public benefit.
Key requirements include:
- Your organisation must have exclusively charitable purposes (e.g., relief of poverty, education, health, community development).
- Your charitable purposes must serve public benefit.
- You must follow the Commission’s registration process and submit appropriate governing documents.
